We want to update all of our clients regarding the current situation surrounding the Covid-19 outbreak and how it affects veterinary work…
THURSDAY 14th JANUARY UPDATE…
Headings covered on our COVID page… ‘What to expect at the clinic’, ‘Work we can do and work we can’t’ as well as ‘Should I have my pet vaccinated’…
We are continuing to work according to guidance given to us by our regulatory and advisory bodies – RCVS, BVA and BSAVA. The aim is still to minimise person to person contact to help reduce the spread of Covid-19, but in light of the recent 6 week lockdown imposed in England, we once again need to look at whether a procedure is deemed to be clinically necessary once we have considered the relative risks/implications to your pet and weighing this up against minimising non essential travel, in particular to reduce the risks that we may present to you regarding Covid-19 and you to us, as well as the implications of accelerating spread.
Your pets’ health and welfare is incredibly important to us. This situation is extremely trying for everyone and we hope you choose to continue to support us during this difficult time for all involved (please be kind to the members of staff who are doing their absolute utmost).

Thank you for your understanding at this difficult time for all of us.
Kindest Regards,
All the team at Cotswold Vets
